Buddy and Towser
Directed by Friz Freleng
Release Date:
February 24, 1934
Main Character(s):
Buddy, Towser
Summary:
Buddy and his dog, Towser, go after a fox who attempts to steal Buddy’s chickens.
That’s Not All, Folks:
This is the first appearance of Towser, who would become Buddy’s dog (he was sometimes called Bozo but I will still be referring to him as “Towser” since they are the same character).
What I Like About This One:
Buddy using a shower to douse his candle when he goes to bed.
The fox catching a chicken, but it gets away when it kicks the fox in the chin.
All of the chickens attacking the fox with eggs.
Towser chasing the fox while he’s still attached to his doghouse!
Towser thinking he’s found the fox covered in snow, but the snow-covered creature turns out to actually be a bear.
Whenever Buddy shoots at the bear, another bear appears.
