Dumb Patrol (1931)
Directed by Hugh Harman and Rudolf Ising
Release Date:
April 1931 (release date unconfirmed)
Main Character(s):
Bosko, Honey
Summary:
Bosko is a World War l aviator battling a brutish villain. After his brief song and dance routine with Honey in a ruined home ends when the fiend drops a bomb on the piano, Bosko returns to fighting.
That’s Not All, Folks:
A Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam cartoon from 1964 has the same title as this one (which is why I put the year of this cartoon in the title).
What I Like About This One:
Bosko’s airplane having a personality of its own.
I also like the scene where Bosko kisses Honey and she scolds him by talking in sped up gibberish.
Lastly, the way Bosko defeats his enemy.
