None

Some Indian children go out hunting but prove very inept at catching prey.
That’s Not All, Folks:
The cartoon was given a Blue Ribbon reissue. Interestingly, the credits were kept intact in the reissue despite being reissued before September 1956 (cartoons that were reissued from September 1956 onwards would have their credits kept intact, so a major thank you to whoever decided to stop removing credits from the cartoons). If only ALL of the cartoons were reissued like this one. The original opening rings can be found here.
The cartoon is a parody of James Swinnerton’s “Canyon Kiddies” (it’s even pointed out before the credits are shown).
The narrator of this cartoon, Shepperd Strudwick, would later do the voice of the father in “Tom Thumb in Trouble” (another Jones cartoon released in 1940).
Swinnerton also did the background paintings for the cartoon which were done with oil paints.
The cartoon has no dialogue except for the narration at the beginning and end.
What I Like About This One:
“So savage were these ferocious warriors, that the very birds and animals of the forest fled in terror when the deep throbbing sound of their war drums filled the air”; where the cartoon shows how ironic this line is.
The realistic Indian shadows being revealed to be those of the children.
When they all go out to hunt, one of the kids is pulled inside by his offscreen parent and he comes back out with a papoose on his back.
The running gag of another kid trying to mount a stubborn mule.
A bear being attracted by the candy cane the papoose is holding.
The child with the papoose being completely oblivious to the bear until two of his siblings point this out .
The kids being backed down a cliff by the bear with the child with the papoose accidentally pulling another’s pants down.
The bear attempting to get at the papoose’s candy cane but falling off and landing in a tree branch below. But he doesn’t care about where he is, he’s just happy he now has the candy.
As the kids go home and go to bed that night, the kid who has been trying to mount the mule all day is still out there and having no success.
