That’s Not All, Folks:

This is the first time since Daffy’s debut in “Porky’s Duck Hunt” where Porky and Daffy appear together.

The restored print uses the incorrect opening theme.

What I Like About This One:

Porky’s way of getting Daffy to wake up: banging a dinner platter over his head and making him become a crazy but skilled fighter (animated by Robert Cannon).

Any scene with the pelican referee (with a lot of fun being poked at his rubbery bill).

The pelican referee asking who wants to fight but before he finishes, a bunch of tough guys appear in the ring and when the pelican says “the champ”, they all run off in fear (animated by John Carey).

The pelican getting so tired from describing the champ (animated by Norm McCabe).

The champ’s roar being so powerful that it blows Daffy’s outfit off revealing that his muscular look was caused by him hiding two sacks of flour in it (animated by Carey).

Daffy causing the pelican to sound like a babbling auctioneer by putting his foot down on the pelican’s bill. When the pelican stops, Daffy says “Sold to the American Tabasco Company!" (animated by McCabe).

When the pelican says “No hitting below the belt!”, Daffy pulls his pants all the way up to his face! (animated by Chuck Jones; this is the actual last cartoon where he was an animator, not “Porky’s Party”).

Porky advising Daffy to get on his bicycle so Daffy gets away from the champ by riding an invisible bicycle. “I’m so crazy, I don’t know this is impossible!”, he laughs (animated by Izzy Ellis).

Daffy repeatedly knocking the champ down on his “bicycle” (animated by Ellis).

Daffy coming out of the pelican’s bill (animated by Jones).

Daffy running in the pelican’s mouth, dragging the poor guy with him! (animated by Ellis).

The champ luring Daffy with a candy cane (animated by Carey), to which Daffy replies, “Gee thanks, chum. How’d you know I like lollipops?”. The champ then pulls down a curtain labeled “Censored” as he starts punching Daffy (animated by Jones).

The pelican slowly starting to count Daffy out (animated by Cannon), while Porky runs back to the house to get the dinner platter (animated by Carey and McCabe) and bang it over Daffy’s head to wake him up (animated by Cannon).

Daffy and the champ flying so fast past the pelican that he has to pull his body out of his bill (animated by McCabe).

When the champ is declared out, Daffy bangs the dinner platter over the champ’s head (animated by Cannon).
