That’s Not All, Folks:

The cartoon is a follow-up to “Porky’s Ant” as both involve Porky going after a rare ant.

The cartoon no longer airs on television due to racial stereotyping.

The high quality print of the cartoon on the Porky Pig 101 DVD set uses the incorrect opening theme.

What I Like About This One:

The ant’s cage flips to where the writing on the bottom of the cage can be seen after the ant runs off. Porky realizes it’s “Prof. McGurk’s Trained African Pygmy Ant- Value $162,422,503.51 Plus Sales Tax”.

Porky is so busy looking up at the ant while running that he trips into a trunk. He then takes a magic hat off of his head and finds a rabbit sitting on his head.

Porky attempting to go after the ant across a tightrope and not realizing this until the ant points out that he’s on said tightrope.

The ant then dances off the tightrope and shakes it to make Porky lose his balance.

The ant starting to eat a sandwich before realizing that Porky is watching him. Porky attempts to swat the ant with his hand but instead hits the sandwich, creating a hand-shaped imprint.

After getting his hand stuck in a jar of hot mustard, Porky is advised by the ant to break the jar by slamming it against the table. Although it gets his hand free, it hurts his hand which he tries to relieve the pain by putting it in his mouth. However, the hot mustard causes his eyes to water in pain. The ant gives Porky what he thinks is water but is actually a bottle of turpentine!

Porky tries to find the ant by using a candy cane as bait but the ant replaces it with a dynamite stick. When Porky realizes this, he tosses the dynamite aside where it takes the place of the ant’s candy. Porky tries to warn him but the ant misinterprets this and nods his head as if to say, “Yeah, it’s good, isn’t it?” and then sits on the dynamite when Porky points downward. The explosion sends the ant back into the cage. The cartoon ends with the ant giving an embarrassed grin.
