That’s Not All, Folks:

The storyboards for this cartoon can be seen as a bonus feature on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volume 4 DVD set.

Although Porky appears more than he did in his previous cartoon (“Slap Happy Pappy”), he still doesn’t have a lot to do here.

The cartoon reuses animation from “What Price Porky”, “Porky’s Five and Ten”, and “Naughty Neighbors”.

What I Like About This One:

The opening title card reading: “This Screen Play is an adaptation of the World Famous Book, “Twenty Thousand Leaks Under the Ceiling” (which is a play on words for “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas”).

When trying to catch an oblivious mouse, the cat skids to a stop into a pile of junk and drums his fingers in annoyance.

The sign on “Porky’s Pet Fish Shoppe”- “Under New Mis-Management”.

The female chorus of fish singing about themselves and all the various fishes in the shop.

During the song sequence, the electric eels “AC and DC” flash in rhythm when the first verse ends, a “holey mackerel” is literally full of holes, two “filet of sole” (fish shaped like shoes) tap dance to the tune of the song (the chorus singers even mention Fred Astaire in the song), and multiple dancing legs all belong to one octopus.

When the whistle literally screams, “LUNCH!”, Porky comments, “Boy when it comes to eating, I’m a regular little pig!” before walking out while whistling “You You Darlin’”.

After Porky leaves, the cat walks past the fish shop and after seeing a potential meal in them, he flips around the “Out to Lunch” sign to say “In to Lunch”.

After the cat grabs a helpless little fish, AC and DC notice this and twist themselves to become a flashing neon sign warning “The Cat” to the other fish.

Seeing AC and DC’s warning, a sea turtle imitating Paul Revere rides a seahorse and calls other fish to the rescue.

Flying fish imitating airplanes.

Even a (literal) hammerhead shark with a gooney expression on his face gets in the act by bopping the cat on the head.

When the fish is sent flying into the air after one of the eels bites the cat, one of the flying fish catches the fish bringing it to safety.

A “mussel” which sprouts Popeye arms punching the cat out the door so fast, that Porky only feels a draft when he returns from his lunch break and opens the door.

When the cat attempts to go after the same mouse again, the mouse grows to a height taller than him and roars, converting him into a crying midget.
