This is the last of two cartoons directed by Ub Iwerks.

This is also the last cartoon where Bob Clampett is an animator.

This is the first time we hear the “gargling” sound effect (which is heard when Porky pours oil into a customer’s motor).

What I Like About This One:

The gas prices which read: “Gas: 3 cents, state tax: 6 cents, city tax: 4 cents, county tax: 7 cents, unemployment tax: 3 cents, social security tax: 5 cents, farm relief tax: 2 cents, luxury tax: 8 cents, carpet tacks (pun): 5 cents- total: 43 cents”.

A cuckoo coming out when the first car has its gas full (“At the sound of the gong, it will be exactly 10 gallons!”).

When Porky tells another customer he has a flat tire, the customer pops out of the roof and screams, “WHY DON’T SOMEBODY TELL ME THESE THINGS!?”

Porky trying to hammer down a lump on another car but the lump keeps appearing in other places. It finally tricks Porky into breaking the windshield.

After one of the kid’s pranks ends with Porky getting his bottom stuck in a tire, another prank helps him out of it.

The kid shutting the hood on Porky twice, so Porky rips it off.

Porky’s “OW!” when the kid blares the horn in his stethoscope.

The kid making faces at Porky when he’s not looking so Porky sneaks around to the other side and catches him in the act.

The kid squirting oil at Porky but when it runs out, the kid gets his comeuppance when it doesn’t work, so he points it at himself and squirts himself with oil!

When the kid won’t stop bawling, his mother slaps him while scolding Porky.
