Raymond Scott Available on Spotify!

The cover for his main album.
Raymond Scott (1908-1994) was a composer who came up with some very catchy tunes that had some very bizarre names. His music appealed to Carl Stalling (who was the composer for over 600 Warner cartoons in a 22-year period from 1936 until 1958), and he utilized it in several cartoons, with the most memorable of these being a tune called “Powerhouse”, a tune that every fan of the Warner Bros. cartoons is very familiar with (other than “Powerhouse”, I also really enjoy the energetic “Dinner Music for a Pack of Hungry Cannibals”, the jazzy “Huckleberry Duck”, as well as “The Toy Trumpet”, “The Penguin”, “Twilight in Turkey”, and “Reckless Night On Board an Ocean Liner”) . Scott’s music is also available to listen to on Spotify as well as YouTube, with the main attraction being an album called “Reckless Nights and Turkish Twilights- The Music of Raymond Scott” (the title alludes to “Reckless Night On Board an Ocean Liner” and “Twilight in Turkey”, respectively). Below are all the pieces included on this album, with every instance where a specific tune plays in a Warner cartoon noted below (if it’s not in any of them, it’s left blank; I also highly recommend checking out the amazing YouTube channel: “Looney Tunes Songs”, which uploads compilation videos of every time a specific tune played in a cartoon. These are actually the reason why I’ve grown to love and respect Raymond Scott a lot more):
