Rover's Rival- Animator Draft

And speaking of animator drafts from yesterday’s special post, this is one of the few times I’m doing a special Sunday post as the animator draft for Bob Clampett’s third cartoon, “Rover’s Rival” (I wrote about this one all the way back in March 2024) was unearthed to the public this past Tuesday. The draft reveals two things: that the cartoon was originally titled “Ol’ Man Rover” (a pun for “Old Man River”) and that the pup in this cartoon’s name is “Zippy” (the cartoon was also originally titled “Porky’s Bag o’ Tricks”).
