The cartoon is in the public domain.

What I Like About This One:

For archery, a “modern Robin Hood in action” hits the bullseye every single time- but that’s only because he’s standing a foot away from the target.

The animation of spectators’ eyes watching a ping-pong game, along with someone’s eyes bouncing like a ping-pong ball.

For skiing, skier Pablo Nerving does a simple jump off a seemingly dangerous ski jump.

The racers in a track and field meet climb the hurdles like ladders.

A champion woman swimmer is revealed to be a mermaid.

The “crawl” in swimming shows the former Olympic star, Basil Barricuda, literally crawling across very shallow water.

In crew racing, everyone on the team does completely different ways to row.

Participants in a bicycle race around “Madison Round Garden” pointing out the repetition of them going around and around over and over again: “Monotonous, isn’t it?”

In baseball, catcher Gabby Hairnet proves to live up to his name (animated by Cal Dalton).

The football stadium, the “Avery Memorial Stadium” has every seat on the fifty yard line with one person sitting on each stand like stairs.

When several football players pile up on top of each other, the narrator asks if a player made a touchdown. The referee pops up out of the pile to answer, “Mmm, could be”.

After an auto race, the winner’s car is shown to be a still blur while the driver says a “few words” by making a vrooming noise.
