"Porky's Five and Ten" Animator Draft

And barely after a whole week, this past Monday, the animator draft for Clampett’s seventh cartoon, “Porky’s Five and Ten” was revealed (I wrote about this one all the way back in April 2024). This was the cartoon where it became obvious Clampett was tired of having to use Porky all the time (in his early years from 1937-1941, he was the primary director of the black and white Porky cartoons before he became the Clampett we all know and love from 1942 up until his departure in 1946), so this is his first case where he only has Porky appear briefly as a loophole to the “Porky has to appear in every black and white Looney Tunes” rule (indeed, Clampett’s only color cartoons he made with his old unit, “Goofy Groceries” and “Farm Frolics”, both released in 1941, were also the only non-Porky cartoons he made with his old unit).
